Timing Card Laminate

some mountaineers these are essential items. They
can mean the difference between a headache and
becoming seriously
'navigationally misplaced'.
The answer?
A
timing card
Simple, logical and very useful; keep them attached
to your compass lanyard for easy access. Each
side has a different method to use when calculating
route timings. Play with both and find out which
works best for you!
Instructions
- Simply click on the link above and print straight off.
- Cut out both navigation methods in one long
strip.
- Fold in half so that Method A shows on one side
and Method B on the other.
- Trim
as appropriate and glue together.
- Laminate or cover in clear sticky-backed plastic
(Blue Peter special, available from Woolworths
etc.).
- Ensure
you leave a good 3mm around the edge and more
where you want to punch a hole for the lanyard.
